Baqai: Submission of Caspian Convention to Parliament for Ratification Is Not Related to War

Esmail Baqai, spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry, made a statement regarding the submission of the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea to the parliament for ratification. According to the Tehran bureau, Baqai said that the Convention, signed in 2018 by Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkmenistan, being sent to the Iranian parliament is not related to war or external events. "The final decision on the document, according to the Constitution, belongs to the parliament," Baqai emphasized.
