Centers to Combat Computer Incidents to Be Established in Azerbaijan

According to the decree by President Ilham Aliyev on the implementation of amendments to the Law on Information, Informatization, and Information Protection, cybersecurity activities in information infrastructures performing public functions will be ensured through CERTs (Computer Emergency Response Teams). These CERTs will be either relevant structures of the state body responsible for state policy, regulation, and supervision in the respective field or resident legal entities designated by that state body under contract. The decree also mandates that the Cabinet of Ministers, based on proposals from these state bodies, must take measures to finance the organization or designation of centers to combat computer incidents by these bodies.
