Azerbaijan's First Meykhana-Themed Series: “Qəzəl Kimi” on the Way

Preparations have begun for “Qəzəl Kimi,” the first series in Azerbaijan centered on the theme of meykhana. Supported by the Azerbaijan Film Academy, the series will consist of 12 episodes. After airing on Mədəniyyət TV, “Qəzəl Kimi” will be presented to viewers on the Flix film platform. Only the first episode of the series will be released on the YouTube channel. The series revolves around the emotions experienced by a teenage boy as he tries to learn meykhana. He falls in love with a widowed literature teacher, and this love becomes both his source of inspiration and his cause of suffering. Written and directed by Zaur Tahirsoy, this project aims to open a new direction in Azerbaijani culture.
