Azerbaijan's First Meykhana-Themed Series: “Qəzəl Kimi” on the Way

Preparations have begun for “Qəzəl Kimi,” the first series in Azerbaijan centered on the theme of meykhana. Produced with the support of the Azerbaijan Film Academy, the series will consist of 12 episodes. After airing on Mədəniyyət TV, “Qəzəl Kimi” will be made available to viewers on the Flix film platform. Only the first episode of the series will be released on the YouTube channel. The storyline revolves around a teenage boy who experiences various emotions while trying to learn meykhana. He falls in love with a widowed literature teacher, and this love becomes both his source of inspiration and his cause of suffering. Written and directed by Zaur Tahirsoy, this project aims to open a new direction in Azerbaijani culture.
