Mine Explosion Occurs in Khojavend District

A mine explosion incident occurred on August 7, 2026, in the village of Gizilgaya in the Khojavend district, which was liberated from occupation. According to information from the Press Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the Mine Clearance Agency (ANAMA), Elchin Telman oglu Abbasov, born in 1961 and a resident of the Gazakh district, was operating a bulldozer in an uncleared minefield area when it struck a mine.
