Rules for Ensuring Cybersecurity of Strategic Facilities to Be Developed

According to the report, this is reflected in President Ilham Aliyev's decree on the implementation of amendments to the Law on Information, Informatization, and Information Protection. Based on the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers must prepare and submit to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan within one month proposals regarding the rules for implementing a regulatory testing environment, including supervision of the activities of participants in this environment, the maximum duration of the regulatory testing environment, and the procedure for applying exceptions to the requirements of normative legal acts. At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers is instructed to prepare and submit to the President within three months proposals on the rules for ensuring information security and cybersecurity of information infrastructure belonging to state bodies (except for intelligence and counterintelligence entities), as well as protected persons, guarded, and strategic facilities.
