Land Acquisition Completed for Rasht-Astara Railway Project

Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Farzaneh Sadegh, stated that the land acquisition for the 160 km route of the Rasht-Astara railway project has been completed. Financial support for the project's implementation has been secured, and the approval of the execution contract depends on the decision of the Supreme National Security Council. With financial backing from Russia, the construction of the railway line is planned to be completed and put into operation within the next three years.
