UAE Demands Iran Stop Attacks in the Strait of Hormuz

The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the targeting of a vessel belonging to the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company in the Strait of Hormuz, demanding that Iran immediately stop the attacks and unconditionally open the strait. The ministry considers this action a severe violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions and equates it to maritime piracy. The UAE views the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' use of the Strait of Hormuz as a means of pressure against commercial shipping as a dangerous step.
